Upper Weaver

This is a very pleasant unspoiled stretch of the river, similar to the river Dane.
It's well worth a day for the angler who likes quiet secluded fishing.
The river has been stocked with chub, dace and barbel.
These fish were purchased from a very good source.
The brood fish were Kennet and Avon fish and It looks as though the stocking
programme of recent years is now beginning to show results.
The water is now producing roach, dace, chub to 6lbs, barbel
and even trout have been reported. Unlike the Dane, there are very few
minnows in this stretch and consequently maggot is a very productive bait.
